Amazónico Opens in Miami: The Jungle-Inspired Restaurant Already Has an 800-Person Waitlist

A New Culinary Hotspot Arrives in Miami
The acclaimed restaurant Amazónico, which revolutionized Madrid’s dining scene with its lush décor, vibrant music, and jungle-inspired fusion cuisine, has officially opened its doors in Miami, Florida. Located in the city’s bustling financial district of Brickell, this marks the restaurant’s fourth international location, following successful openings in London, Dubai, and Monte Carlo. The Miami outpost is the latest venture from Grupo Paraguas, founded by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, in partnership with D.ream International, the hospitality group leading the global expansion of the Amazónico brand.
Three Floors of Tropical Luxury
Set across three spacious floors, Amazónico Miami offers a dynamic experience that combines fine dining with entertainment. The restaurant includes a main dining room, a sushi bar with private lounges, and a rooftop terrace described as “truly tropical.” Guests can enjoy live jazz sessions and DJ performances alongside handcrafted cocktails, all within an immersive jungle ambiance. The stunning interior design — brimming with Latin American and rainforest-inspired details — was once again envisioned by the acclaimed Spanish architect and designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, who has shaped all previous Amazónico locations.
Signature Dishes and Miami-Exclusive Creations
Amazónico Miami’s menu features some of the brand’s most iconic dishes, including the Amazónico salad, chaufa rice with duck breast and fried egg, seabass skewer, skirt steak, and wagyu beef. For its Miami debut, Silva and Seco have introduced exclusive creations such as corvina with artichokes in spicy broth, king crab with caviar and nikkei dressing, and shrimp guacho with coconut bisque.According to the founders, the response from Miami diners has been overwhelming. Just three days after opening, the restaurant already had an 800-person waitlist, confirming its arrival as one of the most in-demand dining spots in the city.
From Madrid to the World
Amazónico first opened in Madrid in 2016, where Silva — a Brazilian chef — and Seco — an Asturian former economist — combined their culinary and business expertise from successful ventures such as El Paraguas, Ten con Ten, and Ultramarinos Quintín. Their vision was to fuse Spanish cuisine with Asian and Latin American influences, bringing a fresh, green touch through natural materials and abundant plant life.In addition to Amazónico, the Grupo Paraguas portfolio includes Aúrea, Numa Pompilio (Italian), Aarde (African-inspired), The Library (a private wine club), La Destilería (cocktail-focused), and The Jungle Jazz Bar — all staples of Madrid’s high-end hospitality scene.
With Amazónico Miami, the group continues to redefine luxury dining — where gastronomy, music, and atmosphere intertwine to create an unforgettable experience in the heart of Brickell.
